Route 88A North Shore Express

Effective Sunday, December 13, 2020, eastbound service for Routes 11, 51, 52, 53, 54, and 88A will be rerouted from Hotel Street to the King Street Bus Only Lane.  There is no change to westbound service on Beretania Street.  See the map below for details.

Routes 11, 51, 52, 53, 54, and 88A provide service between outlying areas and Honolulu.  Rerouting to the King Street Bus Only Lane reduces travel times for these lengthy routes and less routes on Hotel Street improves travel times for the other routes.  All other routes serving Hotel Street will not change.

WESTBOUND: Alapai Transit Center to Upper Pearl City: After servicing the designated bus bay, TheBus will exit Alapai Transit Center via right Alapai, left Beretania, right King, right Liliha, left Vineyard, onto H-1 WEST, Moanalua Frwy, take EXIT 2 "MOANALUA VALLEY/RED HILL,” continue along frontage road, take EXIT 1E "STADIUM/HALAWA HTS,” onto Ulune, left Kaimakani, right Moanalua Rd, right Kaahele, left Komo Mai, left Kaahumanu, right Hookanike, right Hoomalu, left Komo Mai, right Hoomoana, left Hoolaulea, left Waimano Home Rd.

EASTBOUND: Upper Pearl City to Alapai Transit Center: TheBus will travel from Waimano Home Rd, left Komo Mai, right Hoomalu, left Hookanike, left Kaahumanu, right Komo Mai, right Kaahele, left Moanalua Rd, left Kaimakani, right Ulune, right Kahuapaani, onramp to Moanalua Frwy, take EXIT 2 "RED HILL/MOANALUA VALLEY,” continue along frontage road, onto Moanalua Frwy, H-1 EAST, take EXIT 20B "VINEYARD BLVD,” onto Vineyard, right Liliha, left King, left Alapai Transit Center.

EASTBOUND: Upper Pearl City to Kahuapaani/Ulune: TheBus will travel from Waimano Home Rd, left Komo Mai, right Hoomalu, left Hookanike, left Kaahumanu, right Komo Mai, right Kaahele, left Moanalua Rd, left Kaimakani, right Ulune.

EASTBOUND: Lower Pearl City to Alapai Transit Center: TheBus will travel from Paakamaa, left Kuahaka, right Waimano Home Rd, left Hoomaemae, right Hoolaulea, left Hoomalu, right Noelani, right Kaahumanu, left Moanalua Rd, left Kaimakani, right Ulune, right Kahuapaani, onramp to Moanalua Frwy, take EXIT 2 "RED HILL/MOANALUA VALLEY,” continue on frontage road, onto Moanalua Frwy, H-1 EAST, take EXIT 20B "VINEYARD BLVD,” Vineyard, right Liliha, left King, left Alapai Transit Center.
