HAWAII FOODBANK DRIVE 

The annual HAWAII FOODBANK FOOD DRIVE will be held on SATURDAY, april 21, 2018, and will be closing the westbound bus stop located at Ala Moana Blvd. / South St. from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.  Passengers may board buses at the portable stop located at Ala Moana Blvd. / Opposite Channel St.

AFFECTED ROUTES: 

19, 20, 55, 56, 57, 57A, & 65

AFFECTED AREA:

No westbound service at Ala Moana Blvd. / South St.

MARCH FOR BABIES 

The MARCH FOR BABIES, sponsored by the March of Dimes, will be held on SATURDAY, APRIL 21, 2018 with road closures starting at 6:30 a.m.  The run/walk will start at Kapiolani Park, turn around at the first lookout on Diamond Head, and return to the Honolulu Marathon finishing line at Kapiolani Park.  There will be approximately 5,000 participants.  TheBus will service all bus stops along the detour route.

8, 14, 19, 20, 22, 23, 24, 42, E, W1, W2, & W3

AFFECTED AREA:

No service at Kapahulu/Kuhio and along Monsarrat between Kalakaua and Paki.

ROUTE 8, WAIKIKI-ALA MOANA

ROUTE 42, EWA BEACH-WAIKIKI 

Eastbound:   TheBus will travel the regular route to Kuhio/Kapahulu, left Kapahulu, right Leahi to the temporary terminus at Leahi/Hinano. 

Westbound: From the temporary terminus at Leahi/Hinano, TheBus will continue on Leahi, right Monsarrat, right Paki, and then resume the regular route. 

ROUTE 14, ST. LOUIS-KAHALA-MAUNALANI

ROUTE 22, BEACH BUS 

Eastbound:   TheBus will travel the regular route to Poni Moi/Paki, wait for HPD to allow units to make the left turn safely onto Paki, right Monsarrat, onto Diamond Head Rd., left Kahala, and then resume the regular route. 

Westbound:  No detour.

ROUTE 19, WAIKIKI-AIRPORT-HICKAM

ROUTE 20, WAIKIKI-PEARLRIDGE

Eastbound:   TheBus will travel the regular route to Poni Moi/Paki, wait for HPD to allow units to make the left turn safely onto Paki, and then resume the regular route. 

Westbound:  No detour. 

ROUTE 23, HAWAII KAI-SEA LIFE PARK 

Eastbound:   TheBus will travel the regular route to Kuhio/Kapahulu, left Kapahulu, right Leahi, left Monsarrat, and then resume the regular route. 

Westbound:  No detour. 

ROUTE 24, KAPAHULU-AINA HAINA 

Eastbound:   Kapahulu/Olu to Ani/Hind Iuka buses - TheBus will travel the regular route to Kapahulu/Ala Wai, right Ala Wai, left Ohua, left Kuhio, left Kapahulu, right Leahi, left Monsarrat, and then resume the regular route. 

Westbound:  No detour. 

ROUTE E, COUNTRY EXPRESS!  

Eastbound:   TheBus will travel the regular route to Kalakaua/Kapahulu, left Kapahulu, right Leahi to the temporary terminus at Leahi/Hinano. 

Westbound: From the temporary terminus at Leahi/Hinano, TheBus will continue on Leahi, right Monsarrat, right Paki, and then resume the regular route. 

ROUTE W1, WAIPAHU VIA FARRINGTON EXPRESS

ROUTE W2, WAIPAHU VIA PAIWA EXPRESS

ROUTE W3, KALIHI VIA SCHOOL STREET EXPRESS  

A.M. Operations: TheBus will travel the regular route to Kuhio/Kapahulu, left Kapahulu, right Leahi to the temporary terminus at Leahi/Hinano. 


KANEOHE MARINE BASE – MOKAPU GATE CLOSURE 

The Mokapu Gate into Kaneohe Marine Base will be closed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week effective THURSDAY, JANUARY 18, 2018, until further notice.  TheBus will service all bus stops along the detour route.

ROUTE 70, LANIKAI-MAUNAWILI

Eastbound:   No detour. 

Westbound:  TheBus will travel the regular route to N. Kalaheo/Mokapu Rd., continue on N. Kalaheo, onto Kaneohe Bay Dr., right onto access to Kaneohe Marine Base, onto John A. Burns Fwy., enter Main Gate, onto “G” St., right Mokapu, right Harris, right Selden, veer left on 3rd St., left “G” St., exit base onto John A. Burns Freeway, right EXIT 15 “KANEOHE BAY DRIVE,” right Kaneohe Bay Dr., onto N. Kalaheo, and then resume the regular route. 


FARRINGTON HIGHWAY P.M. CONTRAFLOW 

The Farrington Hwy. Afternoon Contraflow will begin on WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 10, 2016, from 3:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.  The eastbound lanes along Farrington Hwy. will be reduced to one lane and will restrict left turns onto Nanakuli Ave.  TheBus will service all bus stops along the detour route.
