SHUTTLE FOR HALEIWA-BOUND ROUTE 60

Effective SUNDAY, OCTOBER 13, 2019 – TUESDAY NOVEMBER 26, 2019, Kamehameha Highway will be closed at Laniakea Beach to Kawela Beach from 12:00 AM to 2:30 AM on Sunday through Thursday nights, except on 10/31/19 and 11/11/19. A courtesy shuttle will be provided for TheBus riders and will run at the normal TheBus schedule times, with a possibility of up to a 15 minute delay. Dates subject to change based on conditions.

KAMEHAMEHA HIGHWAY CLOSURE (LANIAKEA BEACH TO KAWELA BEACH)

KALIHI TRANSIT CENTER RAIL STATION CONSTRUCTION 

Construction of the Middle Street rail station will require the closure of the turnaround area at the Kalihi Transit Center.  Traffic flow in the Transit Center will be detoured starting at 8:00 a.m., MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 30, 2019, 24 hours a day/7 days a week, until further notice.  Westbound buses will service the bus stops along the Ewa side of the transit center, and eastbound buses will service the bus stops along the Diamond Head side of the transit center.

1, 2, 2L, 16, 31, 32, 43, 61, A, & W3

AFFECTED AREA:

Westbound buses to service the Ewa Side of the Transit Center

Eastbound buses to service the Diamond Head Side of the Transit Center.

STARTING:

8:00 a.m. Monday, September 30, 2019, until further notice

TIME:

24 hours a day / 7 days a week unless directed by Police.

Eastbound:  TheBus will travel the regular route to the Diamond Head side of the Transit Center, service the designated eastbound bus bay, left at the makai gate to the Handi-Van parking lot, exit through the mauka gate of the Handivan parking lot onto the Kalihi Transit Center driveway, and then resume the regular route. 

Westbound: TheBus will travel the regular route to the parking access lane (Ewa side of the Transit Center), right parking access lane, u-turn at the end of the parking lane to the designated westbound bus bay, left at the Kalihi Transit Center driveway, and then resume the regular route.

PALI HIGHWAY ROAD CLOSURE 

A portion of Pali Highway, between Waokanaka St. and Kamehameha Highway will be closed Sunday through Friday from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. starting on MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 2, 2019, UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.  TheBus will service all stops along Kamehameha Hwy.

65, 66, 67

AFFECTED AREA:

No service on Pali Hwy. between Kamehameha Hwy. and Vineyard Blvd.

STARTING:

Monday, September 2, 2019, until further notice

TIME:

From 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Sunday through Friday or as directed by Police

Buses will DETOUR as outlined below:

 

ROUTE 65, HONOLULU-KAHALUU 

Eastbound:   TheBus will travel the regular route to Kamehameha/Koolau View Dr, right onramp onto H3 WEST “PEARL HARBOR,” take EXIT 1B EAST “HONOLULU,” onto Moanalua Freeway, onto H1 EAST, take EXIT 21 A “PALI HWY,” right Pali, and then resume the regular route. 

Westbound:  TheBus will travel the regular route to Alakea/Beretania, continue on Queen Emma, left Vineyard, (will service portable bus stops only at Vineyard/Pali and at Vineyard/Nuuanu, and will not service Vineyard/Liliha or Vineyard/Palama) onto Halona, onto H1 WEST “FORT SHAFTER – AIRPORT,” onto H201 WEST “FORT SHAFTER-AIEA,” onto Moanalua Freeway, take EXIT 1D “EAST KANEOHE,” onto H3, take EXIT “11 KAMEHAMEHA HWY,” left Kamehameha, and then resume the regular route. 

ROUTE 66, HONOLULU-KAILUA-KANEOHE

ROUTE 67, KAILUA-WAIMANALO-SEA LIFE PARK 

Eastbound:   TheBus will travel the regular route to Pali/Kamehameha, right Kamehameha, (last stop at Kamehameha/Koa Kahiko) left Likelike (will not service Likelike/School), onto H1 EAST FREEWAY, take EXIT 21 A “PALI HWY,” right Pali, and then resume the regular route.

HICKAM MAIN GATE (DETOUR)  

Due to the new security procedures at HICKAM MAIN GATE buses will be detoured starting on THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 15, 2018, from 9:00 p.m. until 2:00 a.m., UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.    TheBus will service all bus stops along the detour route.

ROUTE 19, WAIKIKI-AIRPORT-HICKAM 

Eastbound:   No detour. 

Westbound:  TheBus will travel the regular route to O’Malley Blvd/Hickam Main Gate, continue on O’Malley, right Freedom, left Vandenberg, and then resume the regular route.

 


FARRINGTON HIGHWAY P.M. CONTRAFLOW 

The Farrington Hwy. Afternoon Contraflow will begin on WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 10, 2016, from 3:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.  The eastbound lanes along Farrington Hwy. will be reduced to one lane and will restrict left turns onto Nanakuli Ave.  TheBus will service all bus stops along the detour route.
