KAILUA 4TH OF JULY independence DAY PARADE

 

The KAILUA 4TH OF JULY INDEPENDENCE DAY PARADE will be held on TUESDAY, JULY 4, 2023.  The parade will start at Kainalu Drive / Palapu Street, proceed along Kainalu Drive, and end at Kailua Intermediate School.  This event will have 1,000 marchers, 30 vehicles, 20 floats, and 10 bands. TheBus will service all bus stops along the detour route.

AFFECTED AREA:

No service along Kuulei Road between Kailua Road and Kalaheo Avenue

TIME:

From 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., unless directed by Police

 

Buses will DETOUR as outlined below: 

 

ROUTE 671, KAILUA-LANIKAI

 

Eastbound:   TheBus will travel the regular route to Kailua/Kainalu, left Kainalu, right Kuukama, right Kalaheo, after passing Kalaheo/Kailua roundabout, and then resume the regular route.

 

Westbound:  TheBus will travel the regular route to Kalaheo/Kailua roundabout, continue on Kalaheo, left Kuuniu, left Kuuala, right Kuukama, left Kainalu, right Kailua, and then resume the regular route.

 

ROUTE 674, KAILUA-AIKAHI

 

Eastbound:   TheBus will travel the regular route to Kalaheo/Kuulei, crossover Kuulei to continue on Kalaheo, right Kuuniu, left Kuuala, right Kuukama, left Kainalu, right Kailua, veer right to continue on Kailua at Kailua/Wanaao intersection, left Kailua, and then resume the regular route.

 

Westbound:  TheBus will travel from Kailua/Kuulei, veer right to continue on Kailua at Kailua/Oneawa intersection, left Kailua, left Kainalu, right Kuukama, left Kuuala, right Kuuniu, left Kalaheo, after crossing over Kuulei, and then resume the regular route.
