KAIMUKI CHRISTMAS PARADE

 

 

The KAIMUKI CHRISTMAS PARADE will be held on THURSDAY, DECEMBER 7, 2023.  The parade will begin at the entrance of the St. Louis/Chaminade campus, continue east on Waialae Avenue to the corner of Koko Head Avenue, and Waialae Avenue.  TheBus will service all bus stops along the detour route.

 

AFFECTED ROUTES:

1, 1L, 9, & 14

AFFECTED AREA:

The eastbound lanes of Waialae Avenue will be contra-flowed from 3rd Avenue to Koko Head Avenue.

TIME:

5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., or unless as directed by Police.

 

Buses will DETOUR as outlined below:

 

ROUTE 1, KAIMUKI-KALIHI

ROUTE 1L, HAWAII KAI LIMITED STOPS-ALOHA STADIUM VIA SALT LAKE

 

Eastbound:    TheBus will travel the regular route to Waialae/3rd, veer into the eastbound contra-flow lane on Waialae (will not service Waialae stops in the contra flow lane), returning to the regular eastbound lanes after crossing Koko Head.

 

Westbound:   TheBus will travel the regular route to Waialae/Koko Head and proceed west with caution.

 

ROUTE 9, KAIMUKI-PEARL HARBOR

 

Eastbound:    TheBus will travel the regular route to Waialae/3rd, veer into the eastbound contra-flow lane on Waialae (will not service Waialae stops in the contra flow lane), to Waialae/Koko Head, continue on Waialae, right 13th, right Harding, left Koko Head, and then resume the regular route.

 

Westbound:   No detour.

 

ROUTE 14, ST. LOUIS-MAUNALANI

 

Eastbound:    No detour.

 

Westbound:   From Sierra/Waialae, TheBus will turn left into the eastbound contra-flow lane of Waialae (will not service Waialae stops in the contra flow lane), resume the regular route to Waialae/Koko Head, continue on Waialae, right 13th, right Harding, left Koko Head, and then resume the regular route.
