SERVICE MODIFICATIONS FOR JUNE 2024
As
directed by the City and County of Honolulu, Department of Transportation
Services, the following modifications will be implemented effective Sunday, June 2, 2024.
ROUTE 1
KAIMUKI-KALIHI
Route
1 will be renamed to Route 1 Kalihi-Kahala.
ROUTE 1L HAWAII
KAI LIMITED STOPS-ALOHA STADIUM VIA SALT LAKE
Route 1L will be renamed to Route 1L
Halawa-Hawaii Kai. Route 1L will be
modified to provide eastbound and westbound service along Bougainville Drive
and Radford Drive.
Eastbound: TheBus
will travel the regular route to Salt Lake Boulevard, then right Bougainville
Drive, left Radford Drive, right Salt Lake Boulevard, and then resume the
regular route.
Westbound: TheBus
will travel the regular route to Salt Lake Boulevard, then left Radford Drive,
right Bougainville Drive, left Salt Lake Boulevard, and then resume the regular
route.
ROUTE 11
MAKALAPA-HALAWA-AIEA HEIGHTS
The route is being discontinued.
ROUTE 43 WAIPAHU-WAIAWA
Formerly Route
43 Waipahu-Honolulu-Alapai. Route is
being restructured and will discontinue service between Farrington
Highway/Kahualii Street and Alapai Transit Center. Route will provide service between Hoaeae
West Loch Skyline Station and Farrington Highway/Opposite Waiawa Road.
Eastbound: Hoaeae West Loch Skyline Station to
Farrington Highway/Opposite Waiawa Road – TheBus will
travel from Hoaeae West Loch Skyline Station, right
Leonui Street, right Leoole Street, continue onto Leoku Street, left Waipahu
Street, right Hene Street, right Honowai Street, right Hoaeae Street, left
Waipahu Street, right Mokuola Street, right Kahuailani Street, left Hikimoe
Street, left Mokuola Street, continue onto Managers
Drive, right Hiapo Street, right Mahoe Street, left Waipahu Street, right
Kahuanui Street, left Paiwa Street, left Farrington Highway, left Waiawa Road, and
then turn left into the bus bay of Bus Stop #493 (Farrington Highway/Opposite
Waiawa Road).
Westbound: Farrington Highway/Opposite Waiawa Road to
Hoaeae West Loch Skyline Station – TheBus will
travel from Bus Stop #493 (Farrington Highway/Opposite Waiawa Road), left
Farrington Highway, right Paiwa Street, right Kahuanui Street, left Waipahu
Street, right Mahoe Street, left Hiapo Street, left Managers Drive, continue
onto Mokuola Street, right Hikimoe Street, right Waipahu Depot Street, left
Waipahu Street, right Hoaeae Street, left Honowai Street, left Hene Street,
left Waipahu Street, right Leoku Street, left Farrington Highway, and then turn
right to Hoaeae West Loch Skyline Station.
ROUTE 43
WAIPAHU-HONOLULU-ALAPAI
The route is
being restructured and renamed to Route 43 Waipahu-Waiawa.
ROUTE 303 HICKAM-AIRPORT-KALIHI TRANSIT
CENTER
Route
will discontinue service on Elliott Street and Kuntz Avenue.
Eastbound: TheBus will travel the regular route to
Vandenberg Boulevard/Freedom bus stop, continue in the right lane, right Main
Gate exit ramp, onto O’Malley Boulevard, exit Main Gate, right Nimitz Highway,
take “AIRPORT/NIMITZ” ramp, onto Nimitz Highway, and then resume the regular route.
Westbound: TheBus will travel the regular route to
Nimitz Highway/Elliott Street, continue WEST on Nimitz Highway, take exit to 92
WEST “JOINT BASE PHH”, left onto O’Malley Boulevard to Hickam AFB Main Gate,
right Vandenberg Boulevard, and
then resume the and then resume the route.
ROUTE 432
EAST-WEST WAIPAHU
The route is being discontinued.
ROUTE 551 AIEA HEIGHTS-ALOHA STADIUM
ROUTE 552 HALAWA HEIGHTS-ALOHA STADIUM
Due to the
discontinuation of Route 11 Makalapa-Halawa-Aiea Heights, one (1) additional bus is being added
to provide service every 30 minutes.
ROUTE E
COUNTRY EXPRESS!
The eastbound
detour route as stated in Transportation Department Notice 348-2023 becomes
permanent.
Eastbound: TheBus will travel the regular route to
Kapiolani Boulevard/Kamakee Street, continue on Kapiolani Boulevard, right Pensacola Street,
right Waimanu Street, veer left onto Queen Street,
left Kamakee Street, and then resume the regular route.
Westbound: No change.
