SERVICE MODIFICATIONS FOR AUGUST 2024

As directed by the City and County of Honolulu, Department of Transportation Services, the following modifications will be implemented effective Sunday, August 18, 2024.

ROUTE 1L HALAWA-HAWAII KAI

route 1L will operate on Zoom Scheduling eastbound and westbound between Halawa Aloha Stadium Station and Lunalilo Home Road/Opposite Kolokolo Street. Route 1L will also provide local service eastbound and westbound between Halawa Aloha Stadium Station and Kalihi Transit Center.

ROUTE 2 SCHOOL-WAIKIKI-KAHALA

One (1) additional Route 2 trip per hour will be extended to Kahala Mall between 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. on Weekdays, Saturdays and State Holidays and between 7:45 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. on Sundays in order to provide transfer connections to the restructured Route 23 Kahala-Sea Life Park.

ROUTE 7 KALIHI VALLEY-KAHALA

Route 7 Kalihi Valley will be restructured to provide service to Kahala Mall and will be renamed Route 7 Kalihi Valley-Kahala.

Eastbound: Kalihi Street/Iwaho Place to Hunakai Street/Waialae Avenue – TheBus will travel along Kalihi Street, left Likelike Highway, Kalihi Street, right King Street, left Mokauea Street, left Nimitz Highway, left Pacific Street, right Iwilei Road, right King Street, right Bishop Street, left Queen Street, onto Waimanu Street, left Piikoi Street, right Kona Street, left Kona Iki Street, right Kapiolani Boulevard, continue onto Waialae Avenue, right Koko Head Avenue, left Pahoa Avenue, and then turn left onto Hunakai Street to terminus at bus stop #4104 (Hunakai Street/Waialae Avenue).

Westbound: Hunakai Street/Waialae Avenue to Kalihi Street/Iwaho Place – TheBus will travel along Hunakai Street, right Waialae Avenue, right Kilauea Avenue, right Pahoa Avenue, right Koko Head Avenue, left Waialae Avenue, onto Kapiolani Boulevard, left Kona Iki Street, right Kona Street, left Piikoi Street, right Waimanu Street, continue on Queen Street, merge onto Nimitz Highway, after passing River Street exit right, left Iwilei Road, left Pacific Street, right Nimitz Highway, right Mokauea Street, right King Street, left Kalihi Street, onto Likelike Highway, Kalihi Street to Ahuahu Place, reverse into Ahuahu Place, and then turn right to Kalihi Street to terminus makai of Iwaho Place.

ROUTE 9 KAIMUKI-PEARL HARBOR

The route is being discontinued.

ROUTE 9s PALOLO VALLEY

The route is being restructured and renumbered to Route 200 Kapiolani Park-Palolo Valley.

ROUTE 18 UNIVERSITY-ALA MOANA

The route is being discontinued.

ROUTE 20 WAIKIKI-ALOHA STADIUM

Route 20 will no longer service the Kapiolani Park loop and will terminate eastbound at Monsarrat Avenue/Kalakaua Avenue.

Eastbound: Halawa Aloha Stadium Station to Monsarrat Avenue/Kalakaua Avenue – TheBus will travel the regular route to Kuhio Avenue/Kapahulu Avenue, right Kapahulu Avenue, left Kalakaua Avenue, and then turn left onto Monsarrat Avenue.

Westbound: Monsarrat Avenue/Kalakaua Avenue to Halawa Aloha Stadium Station – TheBus will travel along Monsarrat Avenue, left Paki Avenue, left Kapahulu Avenue, right Kuhio Avenue, and then resume regular route.

ROUTE 23 KAHALA-SEA LIFE PARK

Route 23 Ala Moana-Sea Life Park will discontinue service between Ala Moana Center and Kahala Mall and will be renamed Route 23 Kahala-Sea Life Park. Route will be restructured to provide service between Kahala Mall and Sea Life Park and also 2-way service in Aina Haina Valley.

Eastbound: Hunakai Street/Waialae Avenue to Sea Life Park – TheBus will travel along Hunakai Street, right Waialae Avenue, onto Kalanianaole Highway, left West Hind Drive, left Nohu Street, right Hao Street, right Ani Street, right Hind Iuka Drive, left East Hind Drive, left Kalanianaole Highway, and then resume regular route.

Westbound: Sea Life Park to Hunakai Street/Waialae Avenue – TheBus will travel the regular route to Kalanianaole Highway/East Hind Drive, right East Hind Drive, right Hind Iuka Drive, left Ani Street, left Hao Street, left Nohu Street, right West Hind Drive, right Kalanianaole Highway, take EXIT 27 “KILAUEA AVENUE”, left Kilauea Avenue, right Pahoa Street, and then turn right to Hunakai Avenue.

ROUTE 24 KAPAHULU-AINA HAINA

The route is being discontinued.

ROUTE 200 KAPIOLANI PARK-PALOLO VALLEY

Route 200 Kapiolani Park-Palolo Valley is the restructured Route 9s with service extended to Paki Avenue/Monsarrat Avenue, formally provided by Route 20.

Eastbound: Palolo Avenue/Opposite New Jersey Avenue to Paki Avenue/Monsarrat Avenue – From Palolo Recreation Center, TheBus will continue mauka on Palolo Avenue, onto Orchid Street, left Ginger Street, right Gardenia Street, right Jasmine Street, left Carlos Long Street, left Palolo Avenue, 10^th Avenue, right Kiwila Street, left 9^th Avenue, right Waialae Avenue, onto Kapiolani Boulevard, left Kaimuki Avenue, right 6^th Avenue, left Alohea Avenue, right Makapuu Avenue, right Diamond Head Road, Monsarrat Avenue, right Paki Avenue, left Kapahulu Avenue, left Kalakaua Avenue, left Poni Moi Road, and then turn left to Paki Avenue to terminus at bus stop #15 (Paki Avenue/Paki Playground).

Westbound: Paki Avenue/Monsarrat Avenue to Palolo Avenue/Opposite New Jersey Avenue – TheBus will travel along Paki Avenue, right Monsarrat Avenue, onto Diamond Head Road, left Makapuu Avenue, left Alohea Avenue, rt 6^th Avenue, left Kaimuki Avenue, right Kapiolani Boulevard, onto Waialae Avenue, left Palolo Avenue, to terminus Palolo Avenue/Opposite New Jersey Avenue (Palolo Recreation Center).

ROUTE 307 KAMEHAMEHA IV ROAD-KALIHI TRANSIT CENTER

Eastbound: Kalihi Transit Center to Kalihi Valley Homes – TheBus will travel left Kalihi Transit Center driveway, left Middle Street, left Kamehameha Highway, Dillingham Boulevard, left Mokauea Street, left King Street, right Gulick Street, left School Street, right Kamehameha IV Road, left makai entrance to Kalihi Valley Homes, and then mauka on Kalena Drive.

Westbound: Kalihi Valley Homes to Kalihi Transit Center – TheBus will exit from the mauka end, right Likelike Highway, right Kamehameha IV Road, left School Street, right Gulick Street, left King Street, right Mokauea Street, right Dillingham Boulevard, onto Kamehameha Highway, right Middle Street, and then turn right to the Kalihi Transit Center driveway.

ROUTE 544 UPPER PEARLRIDGE-PEARLRIDGE

Route 544 eastbound terminus relocated to Kaonohi Street far side of Iho Place.

Eastbound: Kamehameha Highway/Kalauao Pearlridge Station to Kaonohi Street/Iho Place – TheBus will travel along Kamehameha Highway, left Kaonohi Street to Kaonohi Street/Iho Place.

Westbound: Kaonohi Street/Iho Place to Kamehameha Highway/Opposite Kalauao Pearlridge Station – TheBus will travel from Kaonohi Street/Iho Place, continue on Kaonohi, and then resume regular route.

ROUTE PH8 PEARL HARBOR-ALOHA STADIUM

Route PH8 will operate on Zoom Scheduling in the AM only between Halawa Aloha Stadium Station and O’Malley Boulevard/Main Gate.
