MAYOR’S REMEMBRANCE WALK

The MAYOR’S REMEMBRANCE WALK will be held on SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 8, 2024, with road closures from 4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. This event is expected to have more than 200 marchers that will stage within the lane closures on Beretania Street. The march will begin at 5:30 p.m. on Beretania Street, fronting the Honolulu Police Department building continuing along Beretania Street, turn left onto Alapai Street to proceed makai towards Queens Street (where the ceremony is to be held on Queen fronting HFD Headquarters.) After the ceremony, the walk will continue onto Punchbowl Street and end at the Honolulu Hale grounds.

AFFECTED ROUTES:	3, 4, 6, 7, 13, 20, 40, 42, A, C, & E
AFFECTED AREAS:	The three makai lanes of Beretania Street between Ward Avenue and Alapai Street, South Street, Queen Street between South Street and Punchbowl Street, and Punchbowl Street.

ROUTE E, COUNTRY EXPRESS

Eastbound: No detour.

Westbound: TheBus will travel the regular route to Kapiolani/South, right South, right King, left into Alapai Transit, (service stop #1) right Alapai, left Beretania (HPD assistance), and then resume the regular route.

ROUTE 4, NUUANU-PUNAHOU-MCCULLY

Eastbound: No detour.

Westbound: TheBus will travel the regular route to Beretania/Punchbowl, continue on Beretania, left Richards, left King, right Punchbowl, right Queen, and then resume the regular route

ROUTE 6, PAUOA-WOODLAWN

ROUTE 7, KALIHI VALLEY-KAHALA

Eastbound: TheBus will travel the regular route to Queen/Punchbowl, right Punchbowl, left Pohukaina, left South, right Queen, and then resume the regular route.

Westbound: The Bus will travel the regular route to Queen/South, right South, right King, left into Alapai Transit, (service stop #1) right Alapai, left Beretania (HPD assistance), left Richards, left King, right Punchbowl, right Queen, and then resume the regular route.

ROUTE 20, WAIKIKI-ALOHA STADIUM

ROUTE 42, EWA BEACH-WAIKIKI

Eastbound: No detour.

Westbound: TheBus will travel the regular route to South/Kapiolani, continue on South, right King, left into Alapai Transit (service stop #1), right Alapai, left Beretania (HPD assistance), and then resume the regular route.
