HAWAIIAN ELECTRIC - KAMEHAMEHA HWY CLOSURE 

Kamehameha Hwy. will be closed in both directions, from Salt Lake Blvd. to Radford Dr., starting at 8:00 p.m. TUESDAY, DECEMBER 18, 2018 through 5:00 a.m. on WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 19, 2018.  TheBus will service all stops along the detour route.

LEEWARD COMMUNITY COLLEGE CONSTRUCTION 

The parking lot for the Leeward Community College will be under construction and buses will be detoured starting on MONDAY, DECEMBER 17, 2018, until MONDAY, JANUARY 7, 2018, 24 hours day/7 days a week.  TheBus will service all bus stops along the detour route.

Westbound:  TheBus will travel the regular route to Ala Ike/Ewa entrance to Leeward CommunityCollege, left into the Ewa entrance to LCC, first left in the parking lot, right fifth parking lot row, left curbside to the temporary terminus.

HOLIDAY Parades IN DECEMBER

 

Parades will be held during the month of December in celebration of the holiday season.  These parades will travel along City bus routes which may impact bus operations.

 

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 1

 

KANEOHE CHRISTMAS PARADE:  9:00 A.M. TO 12:00 P.M.

One thousand eight hundred marchers, forty vehicles, eighteen floats, and five bands are expected to participate.  The parade will start at Windward Mall at Haiku Rd., right Kamehameha, left Kaneohe Bay Dr., and finish at Castle High School.

 

MILILANI HOLIDAY PARADE:  9:00 A.M. TO 10:30 A.M.

One thousand five hundred marchers, thirty vehicles, ten floats, and two bands are expected to participate.  The parade will start at Mililani High School on Kipapa Dr. continue past Mililani Shopping Center, right Moenamanu St., left Kuahelani Ave., right Meheula Pkwy., left Lanikuhana Ave., right into Mililani Town Center.

 

MAYOR’S ANNUAL TREE LIGHTING CEREMONY/PARADE:  6:00 P.M. TO 11:00 P.M.

Two thousand marchers, fifteen vehicles, and forty floats are expected to participate.  The parade will start at Aala Park, continue on King St., and end at South St.

 

SUNDAY, DECEMBER 2

 

PEARL CITY CHRISTMAS PARADE:  4:00 P.M. TO 6:00 P.M.

Two thousand marchers, thirty vehicles, and ten floats, are expected to participate.  The parade will start at Momilani Elementary School, from Hookiekie St., right Hoomoana St., left Hoolaulea St., and end at Pearl City Shopping Center.

 

THURSDAY, DECEMBER 6

 

KAIMUKI CHRISTMAS PARADE:  6:00 P.M. TO 8:00 P.M.

Fifteen hundred marchers, five floats, and thirty-five vehicles are expected to participate.  The parade will start at St. Louis/Chaminade, continue on Waialae, right Koko Head, and finish at the corner of Koko Head and Waialae.

 

FRIDAY, DECEMBER 7

 

WAHIAWA TOWN CHRISTMAS PARADE:  6:30 P.M. TO 8:30 P.M.

Three hundred marchers, two floats, and ten vehicles are expected to participate.  The parade will start at Kaala Elementary School, continue on California Ave., left Cane, left Center and finish behind the Wahiawa Transit Center.

 

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 8

 

AIEA COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION CHRISTMAS PARADE:  9:00 A.M. TO 12:00 P.M.

Two hundred marchers, ten vehicles, five floats, and two bands are expected to participate.  The parade will start at Pearlridge Elementary School, eastbound on Moanalua, left Kaamilo, right Ulune, right Aiea Heights, left Halewiliko and end at the Aiea Sugar Mill site.

 

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 8

 

WAIMANALO CHRISTMAS PARADE:  9:00 A.M. TO 11:00 A.M 

One hundred marchers, four vehicles, four floats, and two bands are expected to participate.  The parade will start at Waimanalo District Park, right Hihimanu St., left Kakaina St., right Mahailua St., right Kumuhau St., right Kalanianaole Hwy., and end at Waimanalo Beach Park.

 

WAIANAE COAST CHRISTMAS PARADE:  10:00 A.M. TO 12:00 P.M 

One thousand marchers, thirty vehicles, thirty floats, five bands, and three horse groups are expected to participate.  The parade will start at Waianae Boat Harbor, continue eastbound on Farrington, and end at Waianae Mall.

 

WAIPAHU CHRISTMAS PARADE:  3:00 P.M. TO 4:00 P.M

Ten vehicles are expected to participate.  The parade will start at Waipahu Elementary School, on Waipahu St. (ewa bound), left Leoku, right Leolua St., and end at Waipahu Town Center near Hele Gas Station.

 

MANOA COMMUNITY CHRISTMAS PARADE:  5:00 P.M. TO 7:00 P.M.

One thousand one hundred marchers, twelve vehicles, and five bands are expected to participate. The parade will start at Noelani Elementary, continue on Woodlawn, onto Kolowalu, right East Manoa, left Lowrey, right Manoa, and end at Manoa Park.

 

WEST OAHU ELECTRIC LIGHT PARADE:  6:00 P.M. TO 8:00 P.M 

Twenty-five vehicles, three floats, and four bands are expected to participate.  The parade will start at Fort Barrette/Kapolei Pkwy., continue west on Kapolei Pkwy., and finish at Kealakapu St.

 

THURSDAY, DECEMBER 13

 

KAPAHULU-MOILIILI CHRISTMAS PARADE:  6:30 P.M. TO 8:00 P.M.

Two hundred and fifty marchers and five to eight vehicles are expected to participate. The parade will start at Kuhio Elementary School, westbound on King, to Beretania, left Isenberg, and end at the Old Stadium Park.

FRIDAY, DECEMBER 14

 

HALEIWA TOWN CHRISTMAS PARADE:  6:00 P.M. TO 8:00 P.M.

Five hundred marchers, forty-five vehicles, five floats, and three bands are expected to participate. The parade will start at Weed Circle, continue on Kamehameha through Haleiwa Town, and end at Haleiwa Beach Park.

 

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 15

 

KAHUKU CHRISTMAS PARADE:  7:00 A.M. TO 9:00 A.M.

Twenty-thirty marchers, five vehicles, five floats, and one band are expected to participate.  The parade will start at Malaekahana Stream Bridge on Kamehameha, and end at Puuluana St in Kahuku High/Intermediate School.

 

EWA BEACH LIONS CLUB CHRISTMAS PARADE:  10:00 A.M. TO 12:00 P.M.

One thousand marchers, eighty vehicles, twelve floats, and two bands are expected to participate.  The parade will start at Ilima Intermediate School, right Fort Weaver, right Kuhina, right Hanakahi, right North, right Fort Weaver, and finish at Ilima Intermediate School.

 

SUNDAY, DECEMBER 16

 

OLOMANA CHRISTMAS PARADE:  2:30 P.M. TO 3:30 P.M.

Thirty marchers, ten vehicles, and seven floats are expected to participate.  The parade will start at Maunawili Elementary School, left Ulupii, left Ulupuni, right Uluohao, right Uluhala, left Ulupuni, right Ulukou, and end at Maunawili Elementary School. 

                                                                                                             

 


KAMEHAMEHA/KAONOHI WESTBOUND CLOSURE 

The westbound lanes of Kamehameha Hwy., between Kaonohi St. and Kanuku St., will be closed weeknights starting on MONDAY, NOVEMBER 26, 2018, from 9:00 p.m. through 6:00 a.m., UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.  TheBus will service all stops along the detour route.

The Mokapu Gate into Kaneohe Marine Base will be closed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week effective THURSDAY, JANUARY 18, 2018, until further notice.  TheBus will service all bus stops along the detour route.

Burns Fwy., enter Main Gate, onto St., right Mokapu, right Harris, right Selden, veer left on 3rd St., left St., exit base onto John A. Burns Freeway, right EXIT 15 KANEOHE BAY DRIVE, right Kaneohe Bay Dr., onto N. Kalaheo, and then resume the regular route. 


FARRINGTON HIGHWAY P.M. CONTRAFLOW 

The Farrington Hwy. Afternoon Contraflow will begin on WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 10, 2016, from 3:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.  The eastbound lanes along Farrington Hwy. will be reduced to one lane and will restrict left turns onto Nanakuli Ave.  TheBus will service all bus stops along the detour route.
